2-Minute Fitness
Why would I want to write about yet another fitness program? There are so many out there. There is no escape from fitness programs whether you watch TV or read a magazine or newspaper.
The reality is that most of us are not happy with our physical state and we are looking for solutions. We are not only looking for solutions, we are actually paying for them. This creates the natural demand for physical fitness programs.
The variety of physical fitness programs does not indicate that one method is better than the other. Like neither is Coke better than Sprite nor Sprite better than Coke. It's a matter of preference and either one of them could quench your thirst. Variety is good. It gives us the freedom to choose.
In spite of having a good supply of effective fitness programs and variety, I think the failure to benefit from such programs lie in us. We are not organized enough or do not have the time to practice them. Because of our work and careers the time investment becomes difficult.
I remember the last time I enrolled in a Martial Arts course. After a few weeks I could not keep up with it because it required 2 hours of classes, 3 days a week. That's only 6 hours a week. Yet I could not find time for Martial Arts from my daily work schedule.
That is the reason why the 2-minute fitness program caught my attention. Anyone can afford to spend 2 minutes. Tony Bahu founder of the 2-minute fitness program provides a full workout composed of minutes only.
If you failed earlier in elaborate fitness programs, the 2-minute fitness program may be the right program for you. As you don't have to invest large amounts of time in the program, you will probably not give up so easily.
More information about the program can be found here: http://health-fitness.marc8.com/ebook-info.php/name/2_minute_fitness/toc_id/6-0-11-17

Better Than Botox -- is there a Safer Substitute?
Better Than Botox -- is there a Safer Substitute?
Better Than Botox -- is there a Safer Substitute? By Kamau Austin
Rejuvinol Product Purported to have Great Anti-wrinkle Promise.
Women since time immemorial have always looked for ways to enhance and prolong their beauty. This of course becomes more difficult as they age. As women are living longer more productive lives, it is understandable that they want any advantage to put their best face forward.
Exuding confidence and success for today's women seems to also include looking one's best . This interest in radiating ageless beauty has given birth to a burgeoning beauty industry focusing on ways to ease the effects of aging skin.
But at what cost is the yearning for the timeless beauty? I once heard my mother tell us that achieving beauty was painful. But are today's women enduring a range of procedures like plastic surgery, chemical peels, and Botox far beyond the bounds of their predecessors?
Botox has become all the rage because of its ability to smooth out some wrinkles. Nevertheless, Botox has recently come under question because of concerns about its toxicity. Furthermore, many women don't want to undertake the injections necessary in Botox treatments.
Moreover, havoc and health problems are being widely reported in the media recently in association with Botox. A get deal of concern is focused on Botox treatments in the hands of unqualified, unscrupulous, and misleading professionals.
- New Topical Treatment with Anti-wrinkle Benefits Emerges - - without the Controversial Side Effects of Botox Treatments -
Is there a safer way to have a more youthful facial appearance without risky face lift surgery, chemical peels or Botox Injections? Some women are sharing their success and positive experiences with a topical treatment featuring high quality anti-aging ingredients known as Rejuvinol.
What is Rejuvinol?
Rejuvinol is an anti-wrinkle cream with premium products developed by a company known as Optimal Therapeutics. The ingredients of Rejuvinol are widely purported to have significant wrinkle smoothing and anti-aging effects. From reports that I have read Rejuvinol utilizes a morning and evening treatment to insure optimal results.
For instance many leading doctors open to natural herbal supplements suggest that products like green tea, ginseng derivatives and sun screens may be very beneficial with anti-aging properties. Upon checking the ingredients of Rejuvinol I noticed these products were present.
Perhaps even more significant is the widely noted active ingredient in Rejuvinol known as Argireline. Argireline is reported as having properties resistant to the process of skin wrinkling -- especially on the face.
Is Rejuvinol the Answer for Safe Anti-wrinkle Facial Smoothing?
For some like Andrea M. a 37 year old triathelete, living in South Florida, Rejuvinol is a welcome alternative to Botox. She claims

Botox Alternatives: How to Avoid a Botox Injection
Facelift
Rhytidectomy
A facelift will lift your sagging cheeks, smooth your jaw line, and eliminate jowling. Plastic surgery of the face will also tighten the loose skin of your neck, remove excess fat from under your chin, and correct the turkey-gobbler appearance of your neck.
A facelift will NOT eliminate your wrinkles and other skin problems. Skin Care, Laser Resurfacing, Chemical Peel, and Dermabrasion complement a facelift because they address these problems.
Brow Lift
Forehead Lift
Brow lift (forehead lift) is a plastic surgery procedure which will raise your eyebrows to a higher and more aesthetic position. It will also improve lateral hoods (which are the droopy flaps of skin that hang over the outside corner of your eyes. Plastic surgery of your forehead will also soften your horizontal forehead wrinkles and the scowl lines between your eyebrows.
A brow lift will NOT improve baggy eyelids, puffy eyes, or crows feet. Consider eyelid surgery or wrinkle treatments for these problems.
Collagen
WrinkleFillers
How Wrinkle Fillers Work
Wrinkles are visible because they are lower or deeper than surrounding skin. Light casts shadows into them, making them visible. When you see wrinkles, you are actually looking at the shadow, not the wrinkle. If wrinkles can be brought to the same level as surrounding skin, their visibility will diminish because the accompanying shadows will be nonexistent. This can be accomplished by either lowering the surrounding skin or raising each wrinkle. Chemical peel, Dermabrasion, and Laser Resurfacing lower the surrounding skin. Fillers aim to raise the wrinkle.
Laser Resurfacing
Laser Treatments for Wrinkles
Laser resurfacing is the most common treatment used for wrinkles and acne scars today. Like many things in plastic surgery, laser resurfacing goes by several names: wrinkle laser, lasabrasion, laser peel, laser surgery, laser vaporization, laser desurfacing, and several others. Realize that all of these terms mean the same thing: they refer to the use of the laser to treat wrinkles and acne scarring.

Children, ADHD, and School: Be a Great Advocate
Children, ADHD, and School: Be a Great Advocate
In order for your ADHD affected child to perform better in school, it is important for parents to be able to advocate for them with teachers, administrators, and even the school system itself. In order to be a better voice for your child, it is important for parents to understand Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, its effects on your child, and what interventions work best inside and outside the home.
First, it is important that you communicate the ADHD diagnosis with your child's school. You need to tell teachers and administrators what interventions have been prescribed, also. If you have been working on behavior modification with your child, then you know what interventions work best when symptoms appear. If you communicate these techniques with educators, then they will be better prepared to work with your child in the classroom.
Second, you should watch your child to see if he or she is learning at an appropriate pace. Know who to contact if you feel that your child is not learning in school. You should know that with an ADHD diagnosis, your child is eligible for special education services. The school must evaluate your child and determine and Individualized Educational Program, or IEP, for your child. The school must also review your child's progress periodically and provide support to your child in the educational setting.
If your child has not been diagnosed yet, but you feel that ADHD may be the reason for him or her not learning, then you should find out who to contact to have your child evaluated. By determining what is causing the lack of learning, you will be able to help your child get access to much needed services.
It is important, as a parent of a child with or suspected of having ADHD, that you know what ADHD is and the effects that it has on your child. You should also know important policies and laws in your state and district. In order for your ADHD child to get the best education, it is important for you to be an advocate and a voice for your child's needs.

Battling Internet ADHD: Ten Tips for Writers
Battling Internet ADHD: Ten Tips for Writers
Write for a reason
Get to the point. One of the basic references for Web design is Steve Krug's, Don't Make Me Think. My book for Web writers (not yet available in stores) will be called, Don't Make Me Yawn. The Great Democracy that is the Web has spawned far more spam and yammer than thoughtful prose. Don't fall in love with your own voice. Make sure every word supports the message.
Write for scanners
The five-second rule applies, only make it shorter.
Visitors look at a Web page, then they read it. Think of your page as the cover of a magazine. A visitor will first absorb the total picture, then kick into reading mode and skip tra-la from headline to headline until they find, a) what they're looking for, or, b) something better. Don't lose the scanners with deathless prose.
Get engaged
Lively writing will draw visitors to your message.
I know you're trying to be precise. I know you're trying to be complete. I know you need to get the whole message across. I know. Believe me. I'm reading it and trying to...zzzz.
Compartmentalize
Give long content a good home.
Okay, sometimes content gets long. Sometimes it is supposed to be long. Sometimes it even has to be long. Understood. When that is the case, tease it up front, and put the long content where the long content goes. People who want to read it will follow the trail, and the rest of us will be spared.
Above the fold
Sorry, guys, page length matters.
Newspaper page, Web site, or on the street, real estate is real estate. And in real estate, location rules. If I have to scroll down the page to find your content, I know it's not the good stuff, because you told me so. Most of the time, I won't even bother. So keep your key messages Top, Center.
Grammar kind of counts
Complete thoughts...less important...key words...phrases. Just kidding, ha ha. The point is, this may not be advertising writing, it may not be headline writing, and it had better not be bad writing. But in most cases it also is not pure narrative. Sentences, loaded with subordinate clauses, clogged with interesting but unnecessary detail, need not begin slowly, gain traction, and rise to a crescendo before a graceful, gradual, inevitable descent to a complete, satisfying end.
Just say it, and get out.
Hyper about links
Use them as aids to navigation, but do not overuse.
Hyperlinks are the fundaments of the Web, after all. They are the codex, why it's a web, so that you can follow links from place to place to place to place, all interwoven. Okay. Just don't overdo it. Too many links are like too much caffeine. You get the jitters, it's hard to keep your mind on point, and all that bouncing makes your stomach a little woozy. Use links to enhance, not scatter, the experience.
Smooth or Extra Chunky
Just enough information makes visitors feel refreshed!
Chunk your content into easily digestible portions. My brother-in-law-the-restaurateur talks about "plate coverage," making sure the beans and the catfish and the French fries coexist in harmony and balance. Portion control for your visitors comes from teasers and intro paragraphs and "Learn more" and "Read article". Chunking your content gives visitors a taste, rather than a force-feeding.
Think with your eyes
Use visual cues and graphical elements to strengthen content. Graphics happen. White space happens. It's okay. Work with your designers to bring (even more) life to your words. And as important, make sure that your words fit with the other elements of the page. You're not writing your novel here. A Web page is a collaborative effort.
Tighten it up
When I was in grade school, my newspaper editor father reviewed my papers for me. He never understood why I cried when my three-page report on Chile became a two-paragraph brief under the machete slash of his red pencil. But he was right. I didn't need that word. I didn't need that paragraph. I had said the same thing on the pr

ADHD at Home with Mom
ADHD at Home with Mom
As a Mom at home, do you feel overwhelmed by all the little tasks you have to manage: house, children, social schedules and so many more? Read on to find a possible answer to your problems.
Michelle's friends called her lunatique. "Mom, isn't my lunch ready yet? I have to go back to school!" "Michelle, did you get my suits from the dry cleaners? You are at home all day and I still have to do everything!"
Michelle had no idea where the day went. She'd start the housework, but nothing ever seemed to be finished. Life passed her by, unrecorded in memory, while her mind floated on the wings of dreams. Unbeknownst to Michelle and her husband, she had an Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) without hyperactivity. ADD-inattentive type (without hyperactivity) affects women more than men, and it appears very different to the hyperactive type. It is characterized by low energy, slowness, dreaminess, and difficulty focusing and following through on tasks.
Michelle had difficulty connecting and functioning effectively in the world around her because her brain functions differently from "normal" brains. She had a problem organizing stuff like daily tasks and papers, managing time and getting to the end of whatever she started.
ADHD is a neurological difference in the brain. The ADHD brain can be very effective when following a passion but shuts down when doing the daily grind. Medication is helpful for some but often not sufficient. Coaching provides positive support and guidance for anyone with ADHD but especially for those who don't want to take medication.
For Michelle, housework seemed like a mountain of quick sand. Like many people with ADHD who are faced with a multitude of tasks, she didn't know where to start or how to continue. She would start here, go there, but at the end of the day nothing was finished, and Michelle was exhausted.
With coaching, she created a list of needed supplies and stored them where they would be used. She also made and prioritized a list of tasks for each room and posted it in a discreet corner. With the help of the lists she was able to do the housework efficiently. She could go to the starting point without having to make a plan or decide what to do first. Once she was able to cope with the housework, she discovered more energy and was able to move on to other aspects of her life.
In her daydreams, Michelle was creating a world of her own; she vaguely thought she would like to write, but she had no idea how to start. With coaching Michelle tried to write down her stories, but she had difficulty capturing her thoughts with a pencil. She tried using a tape recorder and found that she could "dream" out loud.
She revised her weekly schedule to make time to take a creative writing course. The support and encouragement she got from other creative writers gave her energy to soar. Her first short story was soon published and many more followed.
To most people the tasks which caused Michelle so much grief seem trivial and obvious, but they are typical of what makes life so difficult for people with ADHD.
So Mom, if life is a nightmare instead of a dream because you can't keep up with the piles of stuff and the busy schedules, start here.
1. Acknowledge the problem. This can be difficult for people with ADHD.
2. Get help.
3. Prepare to change your thoughts and your habits.
Don't let the ADHD monkey distract you. Act Today!
